What is PDO Thread Lift?

PDO Thread Lift, or Polydioxanone Thread Lift, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves inserting absorbable threads made of PDO (Polydioxanone) material into the skin to lift and tighten sagging areas. These threads stimulate collagen production, which enhances skin elasticity and firmness over time. The threads dissolve naturally within the skin after several months, leaving behind a rejuvenated and lifted appearance.

How Does PDO Thread Lift Work?

PDO Thread Lift, also known as Polydioxanone Thread Lift, works by inserting absorbable threads made of PDO (Polydioxanone) material into the skin using a fine needle. These threads are strategically placed to lift and tighten sagging areas of the face, neck, or body. Once inserted, the threads stimulate the body’s natural collagen production process. Collagen is a protein that helps maintain skin elasticity and firmness.

As the threads gradually dissolve over time, usually within several months, they continue to stimulate collagen production. This results in further improvement in skin texture, firmness, and elasticity. The overall effect is a more lifted, toned, and rejuvenated appearance without the need for surgery.

The PDO Thread Lift procedure is minimally invasive and typically performed under local anaesthesia, making it suitable for those looking for a non-surgical alternative to traditional facelift surgery.
